Park City, UtahPark City, Utah is located only about 30 minutes east of Salt Lake City. Although Park City is really a year round resort destination it's close proximity from Salt Lake International airport (SLC) make it unique in that skiers can get off the plane in Salt Lake and be on the ski slopes in less than an hour making it the ideal weekend ski destination. Made famous by the 2002 winter Olympics, Park City is home to 3 major downhill ski areas: Park City Resort, Deer Valley, and The Canyons. Cross country skiing is also available in the back country and at White Pine Touring. Summer activities include golfing at 4 local golf courses, fly fishing in numerous streams and rivers, mountain biking and hiking numerous trails systems. Visiting Park City's old town is still a major tourist attraction with shops, restaurants, a museums, and real estate offices. Numerous festivals and concerts throughout the year make Park City one of the most happening resort towns in the west. In January Park City plays host to the Sundance Film Festival. Other festivals include numerous music and art formats. Park City condos and other vacation rentals are available around town and at each of the ski resorts.
