Customer Rating: Summary: I want to travel with Darley! Comment: I have been a fan of Equitrekking since I first discovered the show on PBS, and this new book is a beautiful compliment to the series. The photos really capture the highlights of Darley's travels, and they make me wish I was riding alongside her on each adventure! As a horse rider myself, it is evident from her summaries in the book, and the show itself, that Darley has a great love and appreciation for horses. I am anxious to see where she will go next, and in the meantime, I will enjoy exploring this book!
Customer Rating: Summary: Gorgeous book on unusual travel Comment: The first time I saw an episode of Equitrekking was when my housemate just got her HDTV. It was an episode on travel in Ireland and the footage was gorgeous. Touring by horseback looked like a wonderful way to explore Ireland's emerald countryside.
The locations from the first season are in this book, so if you saw an episode and wanted to know more about it (including where they stay and what locations they visit) then buy this book.
There are unusual locations such as Iceland and Spain, but also some typical destination such as Maui. However their nature-exploring trip by horseback is much different than my touristy trip there in my 20s. :) There are also other domestic locations that I wouldn't have thought about such as Wyoming and the Carolinas that look like such fun and very appealing.
If you like horses, unusual ways to travel or beautiful landscape photography, then pick up this book.
